The CID has commenced investigations into incidents of a violent attack on a student of Awutu Obrachire Senior High Technical School during the zonal athletics competitions in Agona Swedru.
In a recent post sighted on X, the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service, Madam Lydia Yaako Donkor, who visited the Swedru School of Business to address the situation, stated that her purpose was to engage management, assess the circumstances, reintroduce discipline, and ensure immediate steps are taken to prevent any recurrence in educational institutions. She emphasized that violence of any form would not be tolerated. She further noted that all persons found to have participated in the act are being identified and would be dealt with in accordance with the law.
